Strategic Collaboration of the Athens Medical Group with the Genotypos AIE Diagnostic Center, the first laboratory in Greece to receive international certification for the molecular detection of SARS-CoV-2
Athens 14 July 2020 – The Athens Medical Group, responding to the ongoing need for a rapid, affordable and reliable Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) detection test, has entered into a strategic partnership with the Diagnostic Center Genotype AIE, the first laboratory in Greece to receive accreditation from the National Accreditation Council for the Molecular Detection of Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2).
As a result of this strategic collaboration, the Athens Medical Group offers individuals, insurance companies and professionals the possibility of conducting a diagnostic test for the SARS-COV2 virus, using the CE-IVD certified technique, in accordance with the requirements of ISO-15189 for diagnostic tests, at the special preferential price of 70€.
At the same time, highlighting the importance of prevention, the Athens Medical Group offers, in Athens and Thessaloniki, the possibility of detecting IgM and IgG antibodies for the SARS-COV2 virus, at the special preferential price of 25€ each and total antibodies, at the special price of 40€.
The above diagnostic tests are performed at all clinics of the Athens Medical Group.

Genotype AIE Diagnostic Center
The Genotype AIE Diagnostic Center was created in 2005 to give substance to the concept of reliable and clinically useful genetic analysis, transforming achievements of modern research in human Genetics into useful laboratory tools in Hematology – Oncology and other biomedical fields.
With many years of experience in Molecular Biology, Genetics / Genomics and Cytogenetics tests, Genotype AIE recently announced that, having already performed more than 30,000 Molecular Detection tests of the new Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), which causes the COVID-19 syndrome, and after extensive external and internal quality control of the process, it successfully completed the accreditation of the applied CE-IVD technique in accordance with the requirements of the international ISO-15189 (ESYD) for diagnostic tests.
