The PET/CT Department at Athens Medical Center is equipped with the state-of-the-art GE Discovery MI 4 Ring Gen 2 digital scanner, offering highly accurate imaging and an enhanced examination experience.

What it offers:

The PET/CT Department at the Athens Medical Center is equipped with the state-of-the-art digital scanner, the GE Discovery MI 4 Ring Gen 2, offering high-precision imaging and an enhanced examination experience.

  • Detection of pathological foci measuring just a few millimeters
  • Faster and more comfortable scanning, with a reduction in examination time of up to 40%
  • Reduced radiation exposure, through a lower dose of radiopharmaceutical—by up to 30%

Through the use of ToF (Time-of-Flight) technology, combined with the innovative Q.Clear full-convergence reconstruction algorithm and the integration of artificial intelligence, the system achieves high-quality imaging and the detection of extremely small lesions—measuring just a few millimeters.

Within the Department’s new, state-of-the-art facilities, a specialized team of medical and paramedical staff ensures the delivery of high-quality services throughout the patient’s entire visit.
