Tumour Board
Multidisciplinary collaboration is at the heart of the personalised care we offer.
At the Tumour Board, our specialists combine scientific knowledge and clinical experience to ensure an accurate diagnosis and develop personalised treatment plans that meet each patient’s unique needs.
The Tumour Board serves as the principal body for making treatment decisions for each patient. It includes organ-specific committees comprising oncologists, haematologists, general surgeons, thoracic surgeons, gynaecologists, urologists, radiologists, radiation oncologists, histopathologists and doctors from related specialties, as appropriate.
In cancer care, the multidisciplinary approach of the Tumour Board ensures the selection of the most effective, personalised treatment, with the primary aim of achieving the best possible therapeutic outcome and improving patients’ quality of life.
Second Medical Opinion
The International Oncology Center has extensive experience in providing Second Medical Opinions.
The multidisciplinary team, comprising oncologists, radiologists, surgeons, histopathologists and other related specialists, thoroughly reviews the medical records and develops an evidence-based diagnostic and treatment plan, fully tailored to each patient’s needs.
For patients who live outside the city or have difficulty travelling, the Center offers remote Second Opinions through Athens Medical Group’s innovative “Telehospital” digital platform. This interactive service gives patients access to specialist medical assessments quickly, reliably and with complete safety.
