Cutting-Edge Technology

Linear Accelerators

The Center is equipped with three state-of-the-art linear accelerators (EDGE, Halcyon and Synergy), featuring cone beam CT and the AlignRT system (SGRT) for real-time imaging, enabling targeted and safe treatment delivery.

It also uses advanced techniques such as 3D-CRT, IMRT, VMAT, IGRT, DIBH, SBRT and Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS), and has an advanced high-dose-rate interstitial brachytherapy system with 3D planning.

Precision and safety are further enhanced through:

a CT simulator and the integrated ARIA management system from VARIAN and MOSAIQ from ELEKTA, ensuring thorough documentation, monitoring and quality assurance at every stage of treatment.

Nuclear Medicine - Diagnosis

The Center is equipped with a state-of-the-art digital PET/CT system, offering greater detection sensitivity and impressive volumetric resolution, particularly for identifying small tumours. It can rapidly scan large anatomical areas, resulting in shorter examination times compared with analogue systems.

It also has a latest-generation gamma camera with high diagnostic capability, providing a unique tool for cancer detection and early diagnosis. This gamma camera offers shorter examination times and greater sensitivity, an up to 25% lower radiation dose and higher image resolution.

Hybrid & Digital Operating Rooms

The latest-generation hybrid and digital operating rooms are fully equipped with advanced surgical systems. The medical team, comprising distinguished surgeons with extensive international experience, uses advanced minimally invasive surgical techniques and interventional radiology and oncology. This approach enables personalised and effective management of even the most complex cancers affecting multiple organ systems, aiming for maximum oncological safety and improved postoperative recovery.

Da Vinci Robotic Surgical Systems

The International Oncology Center has Da Vinci X robotic surgical systems for performing minimally invasive cancer surgery with precision and safety. The Da Vinci X system features magnified, high-definition 3D vision and miniature wristed instruments that bend and rotate with greater flexibility and range of motion than the human wrist, giving the surgeon enhanced vision, precision, stability and dexterity.

Robotic surgery using the Da Vinci X system is applied to a wide range of cancer operations, including urological, gynaecological and gastrointestinal cancers, and offers significant benefits for patients.

Radiology – Imaging Equipment

The Radiology Department is an integral part of cancer care, providing highly precise diagnostic and interventional services for the early detection, staging and monitoring of cancers. The department’s multidisciplinary team of specialised radiologists and technologists works closely with other medical specialties to provide holistic care.

The Center has advanced imaging equipment, including three MRI scanners with field strengths of up to three tesla and four CT scanners with up to 256 slices, supported by artificial intelligence software.

Central Drug Reconstitution Unit

To provide the best possible care for every patient, we apply the strictest safety protocols, ensuring that every treatment is delivered in the most reliable and safe manner.

The Center operates a Central Unit for the reconstitution and preparation of chemotherapy drugs and biological agents, with safety specifications protecting patients, staff and the environment.
